When:
1999- 2001

Why:
I started writing so i could express how I felt without hurting myself.

What:
Some people have placed us as a combination of ambient / darkwave / ethereal & even gothic but i don t know what to think. Personally i think it s up to the listener and the song as many of our songs don t sound like the ones before or after it.

In Short:

Influences:
Slowdive, servitude, peter murphy, the cranes, the Sundays, curve, black tape for a blue girl, mira, delerium, moev, lush, hooverphonic, bjork, portishead, faith and disease, faith and the muse, mors syphilitica, stoa, radiohead, peter gabriel, mesh, abba (go ahead and laugh- I love them), depeche mode, mesh, the cure, l ame immortelle, siouxsie and the banshees, billy joel, elton john, bt, claire voyant, sarah mclachlan, skinny puppy, frontline assembly, x marks the pedwalk, dead can dance, current 93, dream theater, autumn, october project, single gun theory, the rose chronicles, gary numan, mazzy star, loreena mckennitt, enya, qntal, Sunday munich, the smiths, switchblade symphony, tori amos, this ascension, etc, etc the list goes on for days- as you can tell- i listen to a vast assortment of music.

Liar (new voiceless song)
#note: This song was recently played on wbul am in tampa. So far, we've received amazing reviews of it- please give us any opinions you may have. Voiceless.
Beautiful Flowers
#note: ....to make one cry with the sounds of a piano
.
Beth
#note: Imagine an orchestra playing slightly medieval music with a modern rhythm behind it. That can start to define how this song sounds.

[..] "Formed in 1999, it was just me then as time progressed I brought on Kevin Corren to play guitar on some songs I had written at the time then Anji Bee was recruited (we basically begged her to record with us) to sing over those same songs Kevin worked on with me.

It was 2001 and Anji had just left the band due to a desire to work on music outside the group- Kevin and I started searching for a new vocalist- Shelly Eterno was a friend of mine- so we got her to sing on one song I wrote: coma. After that, Shelly left to begin recording a cd so Kevin and I then found Katya Vettchinkin.

S
he eventually sang on a number of songs for VoicelessKevin left to pursue a sideproject in early 2002 leaving Katya and myself to pick up the pieces..... then Katya left to pursue a sideproject as well. As you can tell, I haven't had very much good luck with musicians and vocalists. That's why I wrote my newest cd- all of the songs feature music written and performed by me. It's an expression of how I feel without a group, how i feel about my past, about my relationships that went sour and then those that haven't appeared yet... dreams, wishes, all confusion".

Future:

Lonely in heaven- a track off of our new cd will have a video made for it which will be played (hopefully) on muchmusic in canada as well as several european video outlets.

I am also in the process of finalizing the screenplay for my first movie project. I've been interested in filmmaking as long as i can remember and it will be amazing to get behind the camera as well as act on screen.... For the next cd, I will be enlisting a new female vocalist, guitarist, bassist and percussionist. I will as on previous songs/cds write most of the music but it will have a fuller sound to it and will for once be played by a full group, a full group performing the songs instead of having a guitarist play over previous made music will sound truly authentic in my opinion.
The next cd written across these wrists will predominately feature lyrics I've written throughout my life.

Written across these wrists will be recorded at my home studio using n-track Studio (for tracking/recording/compiling), Waves plugins, Ultrafunk plugins, Cool edit (for amazing editing), Cubase SX and Steinberg Nuendo for midi sequencing and T-Racks for stellar mastering.

Tips and Tricks from Voiceless using n-Track Studio.

Gear:

Hp 1.8 ghz custom computer w/80 gb hd/256 mb ram & audigy soundcard, n-track studio, cubase sx, cool edit, t-racks, fruity loops, waves plugins, ultrafunk plugins, magix audio studio, steinberg nuendo, wavelab and an old/battered acoustic guitar.

[..]
"On this new CD, I've composed almost everything on the computer using sequencing programs and fruity loops then recorded/tracked it using n-track studio.

I love the easy to use effects that come with it especially the reverb and the ability to use vst and direct-x effects at the same time without any problems or errors.

When i record the pads on a song i find that it sounds amazing if you add a dash of delay (stereo) to them as it will make a rather flat pad sound amazingly full.

Also if you layer pads over each other..... Personally, n-Track is easier and nicer to use than cubase, cakewalk, emagic or magix".
